How the school can help

  • Talk to a teacher or health lead at school.
  • It is important to maintain a good relationship with the school during this time as they may be able to implement support by introducing support, such as flexible start times.
  • If you have any concerns about bullying, ask to see the antibullying policy.
  • Request the school to assess your child if you think there may be an unidentified SEND need.

Mental health and wellbeing support for parents and carers

Many parents and carers of a child with SEND face physical, practical and emotional challenges everyday.
